The boys found themselves pursuing engineering degrees in Bengaluru, yet dreaming of seafood. Upon completing their studies, the engineers returned to Kundapur, built a food truck, roped in a village cook, before driving back to Bengaluru to launch their ‘Mangalore in Bangalore’ sea food enterprise. I visit them on a rainy evening for an interesting chat, and return mighty impressed with the marine spread on offer, the un-compromised rustic flavour of most of the dishes that I taste, and their commitment to offering fresh seafood at honest prices.
